Job Summary:

A Publisher & Formatter is responsible for preparing, formatting, and publishing content in a variety of formats. Responsibilities:

  • Format documents and content as per style guidelines.
  • Collaborate with writers, editors, and designers to ensure publications meet quality standards.
  • Maintain consistency in style and format across all published materials.
  • Manage and coordinate the production schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure all content is properly edited, formatted, and proofread before publication.
  • Utilize desktop publishing software to design and layout documents.
  • Troubleshoot and solve formatting issues.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and publishing technologies.
  • Ensure all published content is accessible and user-friendly.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in publishing and formatting.
  • Proficiency in desktop publishing software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher).
  • Strong understanding of design principles and typography.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with content management systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with web publishing and HTML/CSS is an advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in publishing, communications, graphic design, or related field.
  • Proven track record in publishing and formatting roles.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous work in publishing/formatting.
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills.
