Responsibilities:
- Lead the product design team to develop and execute user-centric design strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketers, to ensure cohesive integration of user experience across all product aspects.
- Guide and mentor junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Conduct user research and analyze data to inform design decisions and optimize user engagement.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that align with product requirements and objectives.
- Maintain and evolve the company’s design system and establish guidelines for consistency in user experience.
- Oversee the entire design lifecycle, from conceptualization to final implementation and feedback incorporation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a product designer, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions and comprehensive understanding of user-centered design processes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively articulate design concepts and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically while possessing acute attention to detail in execution.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other relevant software.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex design challenges and adapt to fast-paced environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong understanding of usability and accessibility standards.
- Experience with user testing methodologies and analytics tools.
- Leadership skills with experience in managing, motivating, and mentoring design teams.
- Knowledge of current design trends and best practices in digital product design.
Preferred:
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Understanding of front-end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
