Job Purpose:

The Senior Data Analytics Specialist supports procurement and supply chain operations by analyzing large datasets, identifying insights, and driving data-based decision-making. This role ensures that purchasing strategies, supplier performance, inventory management, and cost optimization are guided by accurate, actionable data.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect, clean, and analyze procurement and supply chain data from ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI, etc.).
  • Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as supplier performance, cost savings, lead times, and stock turnover.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support strategic sourcing and demand planning.
  • Provide ad hoc and periodic analytical support to procurement and logistics teams.

Process Optimization

  • Evaluate procurement cycles, inventory levels, and supplier reliability to recommend process improvements.
  • Use predictive analytics and forecasting models to optimize inventory and demand planning.
  • Support initiatives for cost reduction and operational efficiency through data-driven insights.

Collaboration & Business Support

  • Partner with procurement, supply chain, and finance teams to define data requirements and business KPIs.
  • Support supplier evaluation, category strategy, and risk management through analytical input.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Data Management & Systems

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all procurement and logistics systems.
  • Work with IT and data engineering teams to automate data pipelines and reporting tools.
  • Maintain and enhance business intelligence dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in data analytics within procurement or supply chain.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel and SQL skills.
  • Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting, and data visualization.
