Role Overview
The AIS Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization's accounting information systems, ensuring they effectively support financial operations, reporting, and strategic decision-making. The role bridges finance and technology, while also ensuring that finance processes and policies are properly embedded, standardized, and adhered to across all systems.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Management & Optimization
- Lead the management and continuous improvement of all accounting information systems.
- Oversee system maintenance, configuration, and master data governance to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Manage system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and enhancements with minimal operational disruption from finance perspective.
- Ensure seamless integration and data flow between accounting, reporting, and operational systems.
Process Design & Standardization
- Design, document, and continuously improve end-to-end finance processes within accounting systems.
- Ensure accounting processes are standardized, streamlined, and aligned with best practices and group requirements.
- Support finance transformation initiatives, including process reengineering, automation, and system-driven efficiencies.
- Embed (ABCs) into finance processes and system configurations.
Policies, Governance & Compliance
- Ensure finance policies and procedures are accurately translated into system workflows, controls, and configurations.
- Enforce compliance with internal policies, accounting standards (IFRS / local GAAP), and regulatory requirements through system controls.
- Establish and maintain strong system governance, including change management, access controls, and audit trails.
- Ensure systems support audit requirements and control frameworks.
Business Partnering & Support
- Work closely with finance, IT, and business teams to identify system enhancements and process optimization opportunities.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to finance users on systems and related processes.
- Act as the key liaison between finance and IT for all system-related matters.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors or IT teams for resolution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in accounting systems, ERP environments, or finance transformation roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting processes, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proven experience in ERP systems mainly SAP.
- Solid understanding of system architecture, integration, and software lifecycle management.
- Strong background of Accounting frameworks (IFRS,USGAAP and EAS.

- Knowledge of automation tools (RPA, workflow tools) and BI/reporting platforms.
