Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for all goods and services required by the company. You will work closely with various departments to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing
- Monitor and analyze market trends and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on procurement processes
- Oversee the entire procurement process from sourcing to contract award and delivery
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and maintain a database of suppliers and their performance
- Continuously review and improve procurement processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and savings achieved to management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Power engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
- Experience in managing and mentoring a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
