Job Summary:
The Fixed Assets Section Head is responsible for overseeing, tracking, and reporting of fixed assets within the organization. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards and internal policies while optimizing asset utilization and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Overview all fixed asset movements.
- Perform fixed asset counts and prepare management reports on a regular basis for monitoring and control.
- Coordinate fixed asset transactions from both operational and financial perspectives.
- Ensure proper fixed asset recognition and measurement.
- Manage assets and checks asset transfers.
- Resolve any financial fixed asset related issue.
- Support accounting closing processes.
- Ensure quality control over fixed asset transactions/movements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Develop and document business processes and manuals to maintain proper governance.
- Handle communication and coordination with all relevant Stakeholders.
- Ensure safeguarding and integrity of assets.
- Builds a strong, solid and robust system of controls to mitigate misappropriation of assets.
Requirements/Specifications:
- Bachelor/University degree in accounting/finance/commerce or engineering.
- 6-8 years of experience including a minimum of 4 years of fixed asset management experience.
- SAP experience is a must.
- Oil & Gas, Construction, and/or Facility Management industries background are preferable.
- Thorough knowledge of fixed asset related processes, standards, principles and procedures.
- Must have exceptional attention to details.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, time management skills and analytical abilities.
