Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Labor and Delivery Women's Services to lead and oversee the strategic and operational functions of the labor, delivery, and postpartum care units. This leadership role requires strong clinical knowledge, a passion for women's health, and the ability to inspire high-performing teams while ensuring excellence in maternal and newborn care.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide operational oversight of Labor and Delivery, including staffing, budgeting, compliance, and quality improvement.
-Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with regulatory and hospital standards.
-Collaborate with physicians, midwives, nursing staff, and hospital leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
-Support and mentor nursing staff while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and professional growth.
-Lead departmental planning and policy implementation related to women's health and childbirth services.
Required Qualifications:
-Current North Carolina RN license.
-Bachelors Degree from a recognized college or university.
-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Masters Degree in Nursing or related field.
-Prior management or leadership experience in a labor and delivery setting.
