Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Job Overview:
We are hiring a dedicated Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to provide high-level care to patients with complex medical needs in Anchorage, AK. This role is ideal for nurses who are skilled in monitoring critical changes and supporting patients who require closer observation than on a general med-surg unit but are not in intensive care.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in a progressive care setting
Monitor and interpret cardiac and vital sign data, recognizing early signs of patient deterioration
Administer medications, manage IV drips, and provide post-operative support
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate effective treatment plans
Maintain thorough documentation and uphold safety and infection control standards

Required Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire
BLS certification (American Heart Association) upon hire
ACLS certification (American Heart Association) within 90 days of hire
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
