Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to support Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) services in Anchorage, AK. This advanced practice role plays a critical part in improving patient outcomes, supporting staff development, and promoting evidence-based neonatal care practices across the NICU.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a clinical expert in NICU nursing practice, offering consultation and guidance to staff
Lead initiatives to enhance quality of care, patient safety, and clinical outcomes
Develop and implement evidence-based protocols and staff education programs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address system-level improvements and patient care strategies
Mentor nursing staff and support ongoing clinical development
Required Qualifications:
Masters degree from a CNS program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC
Alaska RN license upon hire
BLS certification (American Heart Association) upon hire
Current specialty certification (e.g., CEN, CCRN) upon hire
3 years of RN experience in NICU or related specialty
2 years of clinical leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
CNS certification in NICU or neonatal specialty upon hire
