Director of Medical Staff Services

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Medical Staff Services to oversee credentialing, privileging, and regulatory compliance for a respected healthcare organization in Glenwood Springs, CO. This leadership role is responsible for managing the Credentials Verification Office (CVO), Medical Staff Services department, and ensuring alignment with all applicable standards and bylaws.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the medical staff office and credentialing processes
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., The Joint Commission, CMS, state regulations)
Lead the credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for medical and allied health professionals
Collaborate with medical staff leadership, administration, and legal teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation
Supervise and mentor departmental staff and drive continuous process improvement

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a healthcare or business-related field (Masters degree preferred)
Dual certification from NAMSS: CPMSM and CPCS
5 years of experience managing a Credentials Verification Office and Medical Staff Services department
