Director of Nursing Emergency Services

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Nursing Emergency Services to lead the clinical and operational performance of a high-acuity emergency department in San Antonio, TX. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality emergency care, compliance with hospital standards, and effective team leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for emergency services nursing staff
Ensure compliance with state regulations, hospital policies, and patient safety standards
Oversee staffing, budgeting, training, and performance management for ED operations
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development

Required Qualifications:

Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program with a bachelors degree in a healthcare-related field or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current licensure to practice as an RN in Texas (or per state regulation), and CPR certification
2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting as a manager or director
5 years of Emergency Room nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field
