Nursing Director of Surgical Services

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Nursing Director of Surgical Services to lead surgical operations in a hospital setting in Tucson, AZ. This role is responsible for managing perioperative services, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient safety, staff development, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the clinical and administrative functions of surgical services, including OR, PACU, and pre-op units
Lead, mentor, and manage nursing teams to promote excellence in patient care and staff engagement
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives
Collaborate with physicians and executive leadership to align surgical services with hospital goals
Monitor budgets, resource utilization, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Required Qualifications:

Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited school with a Bachelors degree in a healthcare-related field or BSN
Current nursing license and CPR certification per Arizona state law
Masters degree (MSN or in a healthcare-related field)
Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting as a manager or full-time charge nurse
