Security Senior Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Security Senior Engineer to join their team. The SSE will possess deep expertise in Cisco security technologies, Fortinet solutions, and data center networking, demonstrating a strong understanding of security best practices and a commitment to operational excellence

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, configure, and manage a wide range of Cisco security products, including:
  • Cisco Firewalls (ASA, FTD)
  • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
  • Cisco Email Security Appliances (ESA)
  • Cisco AnyConnect and other VPN solutions
  • Cisco Umbrella and other proxy services
• Implement and manage Fortinet security solutions, including FortiGate firewalls, and other Fortinet security and management products.
• Work extensively with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) and possess strong data center networking experience.
• Lead and participate in the implementation and operation of complex IP networking, security, and data center projects.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving for security incidents, network issues, and data center challenges.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for security configurations, procedures, and network diagrams.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and project managers.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications:

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Telecom Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Certification: Cisco CCNP Security/CCIE Security certification or any other Security certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security engineering roles
• Experience:
  • Excellent hands-on experience with Cisco Firewalls (ASA/FTD), Firepower Management Center (FMC), and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
  • Demonstrable expertise in proxy services (e.g., Cisco Umbrella, other web proxies) and email security solutions (e.g., Cisco ESA).
  • Extensive experience with Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), including IPsec, SSL VPN, and remote access VPN solutions.
  • Proven experience in Fortinet network and security solutions (e.g., FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
  • Strong experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) and overall data center networking.
• Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of IP networking fundamentals, including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching, and network segmentation.
  • Proficiency in network security principles, including firewall policies, intrusion prevention/detection systems (IPS/IDS), and security information and event management (SIEM).
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) in a data center context.
