WAF (Web Application Firewall) Engineer

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Web Application Firewall (WAF) Engineer with 3+ years of experience in web application security. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain web application firewall (WAF) policies to protect against vulnerabilities and attacks

- Monitor and analyze web traffic to identify potential threats and take necessary actions to block or mitigate them

- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate WAF into the application development process

- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and vulnerabilities, and proactively implement measures to prevent them

- Conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to identify and address any weaknesses in the WAF system

- Troubleshoot and resolve any WAF-related issues that may arise

- Maintain documentation and provide training to other team members on WAF best practices and procedures

- Continuously improve and optimize the WAF system to enhance its effectiveness and efficiency

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in web application security, with a focus on WAF

- Strong understanding of web application vulnerabilities and attack techniques

- Proven experience with at least one of the following WAF solutions such as F5 ASM, Barracuda Networks, Fortinet, Citrix

- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Bash

- Familiarity with web application development and deployment processes

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or CEH are a plus.
