Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze and review business and system requirements to ensure they are clear and testable.
  • Prepare test strategies and test plans
  • Design and write clear and structured test cases and test scenarios
  • Execute manual testing (Functional, Regression, Integration, and System Testing)
  • Perform API testing and validate responses
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
  • Log, track, and follow up on defects with the development team until closure.
  • Perform re-testing and regression testing after fixes
  • Collaborate closely with development and business teams to ensure product quality.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives)
  • Prepare and share regular reports on testing progress and product quality
  • Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) when needed.
  • Mentor and guide junior testers and review their work.


Qualifications, skills & Abilities

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing (QA)
  • Strong experience in API testing (e.g., Postman or similar tools)
  • Hands-on experience in test automation (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases and hidden defects
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
  • Proficiency in API testing and validation
  • Hands-on experience in test automation tools and frameworks
  • Good understanding of SDLC and STLC
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies
  • Basic understanding of databases and SQL
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA)
