About the job Project Manager – Technology
Company Description
Our client is a Singapore-incorporated, fast-growing venture-building company operating across food & beverage, retail, logistics, lifestyle, and technology sectors in Bangladesh. With multiple consumer brands, centralized operations, and a scalable business model, the company is focused on building an integrated, tech-enabled ecosystem shaping the future of the Bangladeshi consumer market.
About the role
We are hiring a highly driven and hands-on Project Manager for our client to lead the Technology function. This role will oversee the planning, implementation, and optimization of key digital systems, including ERP, POS infrastructure, delivery platform integrations, e-commerce solutions, and operational dashboards. Working closely with the CIO and COO, the selected candidate will play a critical role in driving technology adoption, managing cross-functional projects, and supporting the company's rapid operational growth and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development:
- Build and lead a high-performance technology team covering ERP administration, system integrations, data operations, and digital product management.
- Establish clear team structures, role definitions, KPIs, and performance review cycles across the technology function.
- Mentor team members and manage external vendors toward global technology delivery standards.
- Cultivate a culture of technical excellence, rapid iteration, and zero-downtime operations.
- Attract and retain top technology talent capable of delivering enterprise-grade systems in a startup environment.
Global Standards & Bangladesh Technology Realities:
- Design and implement digital infrastructure benchmarked against global F&B and retail technology standards — POS ecosystems, ERP platforms, supply chain visibility, and e-commerce.
- Navigate Bangladesh-specific technology challenges, including connectivity reliability, local payment gateway integration, last-mile tech adoption, and device literacy across field teams.
- Build systems that are robust, scalable, and future-ready while remaining operable by staff with varying levels of digital literacy.
- Integrate internationally recognised platforms and methodologies — Agile, DevOps, cloud-first architecture — adapted for local infrastructure realities.
- Benchmark the technology stack against global FMCG and QSR operators and develop a roadmap to close capability gaps.
Product Launch & Digital Go-to-Market:
- Own the technology readiness workstream for every product launch, brand rollout, or new outlet opening.
- Ensure POS systems, menu configurations, delivery platform listings, and operational dashboards are live and tested before any brand or product goes to market.
- Build and manage the digital marketing technology stack — CRM, loyalty platforms, campaign tools — in coordination with Sales and Marketing teams.
- Lead the technology component of e-commerce and aggregator onboarding for each new brand or SKU launch.
- Develop launch post-mortems and continuously improve the technology go-live playbook.
Technology Project Delivery:
- Own end-to-end project management of all technology initiatives — ERP rollouts, POS deployments, delivery platform integrations, internal tools, and e-commerce builds.
- Develop comprehensive project scopes, sprint plans, dependency maps, UAT frameworks, and go-live checklists for each initiative.
- Coordinate with the CIO, external development vendors, and business unit heads to ensure delivery stays on track, in scope, and within budget.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing with relevant stakeholders and manage full defect resolution before every go-live.
ERP & Systems Management:
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and organisation-wide adoption of Odoo ERP across Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Production, and Sales modules.
- Manage system integrations between Odoo and third-party platforms, including POS systems, delivery aggregators, and e-commerce channels.
- Ensure all digital systems are fully documented with SOPs and end-user training materials.
- Monitor system performance, proactively identify risks, and coordinate resolution with vendors or the internal team.
Data, Reporting & Digital Operations:
- Implement real-time operational dashboards that give leadership live visibility into sales, production output, delivery performance, and inventory levels.
- Manage data integrity across all platforms — ensuring clean, consistent, and audit-ready records at all times.
- Build a prioritised technology roadmap in collaboration with department heads, covering a 12-month delivery horizon with quarterly reviews.
- Identify digital inefficiencies across departments and lead structured technology improvement projects with measurable outcomes.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage all technology vendors, SaaS subscriptions, and freelance developers — including contracts, SLAs, payment milestones, and performance accountability.
- Communicate project status, risks, and escalations to the CIO and COO on a structured weekly basis.
- Train and onboard staff across all departments on new digital tools, platforms, and workflows.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5–8 years of technology project management experience in F&B, retail, FMCG, or multi-location operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field. PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile / Scrum certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience delivering ERP implementations at organisational scale — Odoo, SAP, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience managing integrations between POS, delivery platforms, and back-end systems.
- Track record of building and leading technology teams in a fast-scaling business environment.
- Solid command of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Deep understanding of ERP architecture, API integrations, and digital operations infrastructure.
- Ability to translate technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders and business requirements for technical teams.
- Experience building operational dashboards and BI reporting tools.
- Strong vendor management, contract negotiation, and SLA monitoring capability.
- Fluent in both Bangla and English — written and verbal.
