About the job Sales Development Representative
Company Description
Our client provides a comprehensive home setup service. They understand that moving home is not only exciting but also stressful and emotional. Their shared goal is to make the moving process easier for everyone involved: buyers, sellers, tenants, and landlords. To achieve this, they leverage the latest technology to offer a simple and efficient service. However, it's the friendly and dedicated team behind the advanced technology and on the other end of the phone that truly sets them apart.
About the Role
This is a single, high-ownership role at the top of our client's estate agency and lettings pipeline. You'll be the first point of contact between client and the agencies, lettings businesses, and property platforms it wants to work with, turning a cold market into a steady flow of qualified conversations. You'll work directly with the B2B Sales Manager and Co-founder — booking meetings, sitting in on them, and learning the full sales cycle from people closing partnerships every month. This is a role for someone who already knows how outbound works: you don't need to be taught what a good sequence looks like, and while prior property experience isn't required, you do need to find the market interesting enough to learn it properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Target list ownership — building and owning a list of estate agencies, lettings businesses, and platforms, mapped against buyer persona profiles rather than a generic list of names.
- Outbound execution — running outbound across phone, email, and LinkedIn, crafting messaging that helps agency decision-makers understand what JMI does for them and their clients.
- Inbound follow-up — responding quickly to inbound leads from marketing content, webinars, ads, and events, within agreed timeframes.
- Lead sourcing — finding new leads through LinkedIn, trade shows, conferences, and industry events, attending where useful.
- Qualification — handling objections and rejection to reach the real decision-maker, booking qualified meetings, and running first qualification calls so only worthwhile conversations reach the Sales Manager.Pipeline hygiene — keeping every conversation accurately tracked in HubSpot so the pipeline can be relied on.
- Market intelligence — testing and reporting on new routes to market, and feeding back what partners are asking for, what competitors are doing, and where the next opportunities sit.
- This isn't a role for someone who needs to be taught what good outbound looks like — it's the job. You run your own sequences, know how to get past a gatekeeper, and have a point of view on what makes a cold message land.
- Know our clients product, the market, and the target partner list well enough to hold your own on a call.
- Consistently hitting your meeting target, with a pipeline the Sales Manager can work and a clear sense of which messages land with which type of agency.
- On track for a repeatable outbound motion of your own by month six, with a clear next step in view.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years in an SDR, BDR, BDE, or similar outbound role, with a track record of exceeding targets.
- A genuine interest in the property market and how estate agencies work, with the curiosity to get up to speed quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, confident holding a call with a senior decision-maker.
- A detail-oriented prospector, comfortable with research and disciplined about following a process properly.
- Entrepreneurial, with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity, and efficient with limited resources.
- Highly adaptable, comfortable with constant change and moving quickly to new opportunities.
- Solid business acumen and a real interest in startups.
- Action-oriented, with strong work ethic and initiative — low ego, high output, and quick to learn.

- A track record of turning a cold outbound list into a reliable, repeatable pipeline.
- Comfort presenting market intelligence back to the business, not just booking meetings.
