About the job Project Manager – Supply Chain & Production
Company Description
Our client is a Singapore-incorporated, fast-growing venture-building company operating across food & beverage, retail, logistics, lifestyle, and technology sectors in Bangladesh. With multiple consumer brands, centralized operations, and a scalable business model, the company is focused on building an integrated, tech-enabled ecosystem shaping the future of the Bangladeshi consumer market.
About the role
We are hiring a highly driven and hands-on Project Manager for our client to lead the Supply Chain & Production function. This role will oversee end-to-end production operations, vendor and procurement management, ERP adoption, and cross-functional coordination to ensure efficient product delivery and scalable production systems. Working closely with the Head of Supply Chain and COO, the selected candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence, production efficiency, and successful brand and product launches.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development:
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performance Supply Chain & Production team capable of operating at global FMCG standards.
- Establish a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement across all supply and production functions.
- Mentor team members through structured growth plans, performance KPIs, and regular feedback cycles.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top-tier operations talent — from factory supervisors to procurement leads.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across Production, Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Technology teams.
Global Standards & Bangladesh Operational Realities:
- Design and implement supply chain and production systems benchmarked against global FMCG and food manufacturing standards.
- Adapt international best practices — lean manufacturing, HACCP zoning, cold chain integrity, Six Sigma — to the realities of Bangladesh's infrastructure, vendor ecosystem, and regulatory environment.
- Proactively identify and resolve Bangladesh-specific operational inefficiencies, including vendor inconsistency, power disruptions, logistics bottlenecks, and seasonal raw material shortages.
- Build redundancy, resilience, and contingency protocols into every critical supply and production process.
- Position the supply chain function as a competitive differentiator capable of supporting rapid multi-city expansion.
Product Launch & Go-to-Market Readiness:
- Own the supply chain and production readiness workstream for every new product or brand launch across Live Ventures.
- Develop launch production plans, including ingredient sourcing, supplier qualification, batch costing, and scale-up timelines.
- Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Technology teams to align production ramp-up with go-to-market timelines.
- Ensure all new products are launched with fully tested, documented, and scalable production SOPs from day one.
- Lead post-launch production reviews and implement adjustments based on demand data and quality feedback.
Production Infrastructure Projects:
- Own end-to-end project management of all production infrastructure initiatives — factory fit-outs, kitchen commissioning, new hub setups, and equipment installations.
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, resource matrices, risk registers, and milestone trackers for all active initiatives.
- Manage multidisciplinary project coordination across MEP, Architecture, Quality, and Factory Management teams.
- Ensure all production infrastructure projects are delivered on time, within approved budget, and to operational specification.
Supply Chain & Vendor Management:
- Manage vendor relationships for raw food ingredients, packaging, dry goods, and industrial equipment — driving cost, quality, and delivery reliability.
- Develop and enforce procurement calendars aligned with production schedules to eliminate stockouts and overstocking.
- Oversee commissioning and operational handover of new production lines, cold chain infrastructure, and processing machinery.
- Enforce FIFO protocols and food safety zoning compliance across all production and warehouse environments.
- Monitor commodity price trends and proactively adjust sourcing strategies to protect profit margins.
ERP, SOPs & Process Systems:
- Manage Bills of Materials (BoM) and CAPEX project tracking within the company ERP (Odoo) with full accuracy for procurement, budgeting, and audit purposes.
- Own the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all production and supply chain SOPs.
- Identify process inefficiencies and lead structured improvement projects with measurable, time-bound outcomes.
- Ensure all operational data — yield, wastage, throughput, procurement — is accurately logged and reportable in real time.
Budget & Financial Control:
- Prepare, manage, and defend project and operational budgets for all supply and production functions.
- Monitor actual vs. planned expenditure and report variances to the COO with corrective recommendations.
- Coordinate with Finance for accurate CAPEX coding, BoM valuations, and monthly COGS reporting.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality, safety, or production standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5–8 years of project management experience in F&B manufacturing, FMCG production, or food processing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field. A master's degree or PMP / CSCP / CPSM certification is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure and operational projects on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing operational teams.
- Hands-on experience with factory commissioning, kitchen setup, or cold chain infrastructure is a strong advantage.
- Advanced command of ERP systems — Odoo experience preferred. Strong Excel skills for project planning, resource scheduling, and budget management.
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety zoning, lean manufacturing, and production SOPs.
- Excellent leadership, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder communication capabilities.
- Fluent in both Bangla and English — written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously under pressure with full ownership.
