Company Description

Our client is a leading Norwegian-headquartered software company specializing in managing and maintaining safety data sheets (SDS) for a wide array of industries. Their database holds over 14 million SDSs, which require constant updates from various manufacturers. To streamline this process, they rely on cutting-edge crawler technology to ensure that their database is always updated with the latest information.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing and understanding business and technical requirements, working with the project managers and the product owner in our Safety Data Sheets product.
• Collaborate with the developer to test developed modules in a structured and successful way.
• Develop, execute, and review test cases based on functional, technical, and usability requirements.
• Create, execute, and review test cases on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Manage and report on your own test deliverables and test execution.
• Responsible for creating and managing defects while evaluating the severity and impact on the solution and scope.
• Take responsibility for certifying the quality of the solution.
• Plan and organize work and report issues and progress promptly and accurately.
• Accurately and promptly report testing status and test results to your superior (Product Owner or Direct manager).
• Attend daily Scrum meetings.

Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional work experience in Software Application Testing.
• Software testing experience in developing and executing test cases, maintaining test suites, applying various testing techniques (e.g., exploratory testing, boundary testing, forced testing), reporting software issues, and providing clear testing status updates.
• Understanding of testing methodologies, techniques, and defect-reporting processes.
• Proficient in Selenium for automation testing and writing automated test scripts. 
• Experienced in API testing with Postman and JMeter for backend validation. 
• Skilled in PostgreSQL for querying databases and verifying data accuracy. 
• Basic knowledge of monitoring and log analysis using Kibana. 
• Familiar with RabbitMQ and queue-based communication.
• Comprehend technical documents in English (e.g., test requirements system specifications) to gather information for test case development.
• Demonstrate initiative in gaining practical experience in relevant technologies and building theoretical knowledge in software testing.
• Sound knowledge in any programming language.
• Enthusiastic, energetic, efficient, and hardworking team player with sound judgment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to escalate issues appropriately and manage time effectively.
• Customer-service mindset with excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to use UI/UX design tools (e.g., UML) to create use cases and analytical documentation.
• Knowledge of performance testing and cybersecurity practices is preferred.

Employment Structure

• Hybrid in Dhaka | Full-time
• Salary: BDT 40,000 - 60,000
• Benefits: 2 Annual Bonuses after permanent (probation is 3-6 months)
• Work Week: Monday - Friday, 10 am to 6 pm BST
