Front-End Engineer (SDE I)

Company Description

Our client is a Bangladeshi education technology start-up with a mission to democratize access to high-quality education. It has so far raised $6.5 million USD of international funding from global venture capitalists in Singapore and America, the highest for a Bangladeshi seed-stage startup and the highest in education technology for the country. They aim to build a holistic learning ecosystem for a digitally enabled Bangladeshi student population, across primary, secondary, and tertiary education.

Key Responsibilities

-Developing the latest user-facing features using ReactJS.

-Responsible for processing the Application Lifecycle, State/Store Management & Application/Component Architecture.

-Understanding of GraphQL.

-Designing a modern highly responsive web-based user interface.

-Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.

-Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code.

-Learning and understanding user interactions.

-Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.

-Coordinating with various teams working on distinct layers.

-Ensuring you work to strict deadlines and maintain proper sprint planning guidelines.

-Working as a team member and offering to help out as and when necessary, in other tasks pertaining to the development of the technology solution.

Skills & Qualifications

-Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience in front-end development, with a focus on ReactJS.

-Proven track record of developing user-facing features and interfaces in a professional setting.

-Experience in processing the application lifecycle, state/store management, and application/component architecture.

-Demonstrable understanding of GraphQL, particularly on the client side, and its integration into front-end development.

-Knowledge of UI/UX principles and best practices.

-Ability to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable code.

-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-Experience with performance optimization techniques for web applications.

Employment Structure

Hybrid in Banani, Dhaka | Full-time & Contractual

Salary: BDT 70,000 - 140,000

Work Week: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
