Key Responsibilities

-Assist in the day-to-day functioning of the finance functions and supervise the accounting team.

-Manage and oversee accounting including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Revenue Recognition. Support month-end and year-end closure processes.

-Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and improve processes.

-Preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS.

-Preparation and analysis of financial and operational MIS.

-Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audit.

-Manage and comply with local, state, and central government reporting requirements and tax (direct and indirect) filings.

-Ensure compliance with local laws, labour laws and allied business laws applicable to the company.

-Work closely with the Headquarter (India) and international teams - Finance, Accounting, Legal, Tax, etc.

-Support requirements of business and operations team in day-to-day functioning and new business initiatives.

-Manage banking operations and treasury functions including meetings and representations on behalf of the company.

-Manage discussions and coordination with external consultants, lawyers and tax & regulatory authorities including meetings and representations on behalf of the company.

-Support on review and negotiation of contracts from an overall commercial, finance, tax and regulatory perspective.

-Assisting in financial /regulatory diligence/audit by third parties.

-Preparation of budgets/annual operating plans and understanding the metrics behind the budgets.

-Design and administer internal controls over financial reporting relating to business process controls.

-Understand the economics, metrics, and drivers of costs and share leads on potential opportunities to optimize costs.

-Analyze financial data and create financial and operating models for supporting decision-making.

-Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and quick reference summary dashboards.

Skills & Qualifications

-Qualified Chartered Accountant with 4-5 years of experience is mandatory.

-Should have in-depth knowledge of domestic accounting standards and IFRS.

-Proactive and keeping themselves and team members updated on changes in Company Law, AS, VAT Law, Income Tax Act, and other pronouncements.

-Excellent communication skills.

-Should have a positive attitude, be a good team player, be willing to learn and be flexible to adapt to varied roles within the finance team.

-The person is expected to take hands-on initiatives, and lead and execute activities in their areas with minimum supervision/monitoring or assistance.

-Willing to take on new responsibilities and should have a learning attitude.

-Ability to multitask and manage expectations of relevant stakeholders from time to time.

Employment Structure

-Onsite in Tejgaon, Dhaka | Full-time

-Salary: BDT 200,000 - 300,000

-Benefits: Insurance for employee, spouse, children and parents + 2 Festival bonuses + snacks + mobile bill

-Work Week: Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
