About the role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate directly with our clients' development teams to find possibilities for automation, increase system performance, and assure their payment systems' high availability and reliability. You will also be in charge of supervising the release process, ensuring that their payment systems go live without causing any inconvenience to their customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain the payment infrastructure, including payment gateways, APIs, and payment processing systems, on our client's payment system.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify opportunities for automation, streamline processes, and optimize system performance.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of payment systems, including disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Manage the release process, including coordinating with development teams to ensure smooth and timely deployment of new features and bug fixes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot payment systems, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement and manage security protocols and policies to ensure the safety and security of our client's payment systems and customer data.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to payment systems and DevOps practices.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers in the team.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
  • BSC/MSC from a reputed institution.
  • Track record of enabling DevOps culture as a senior engineer and mentor.
  • Strong experience in Kubernetes with solid knowledge of cluster management and application provisioning in Kubernetes. CKA, CKAD, and CKS will add additional value.
  • Expertise in payment gateways, APIs, and payment processing systems on private cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Strong experience in automation tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, or Gitlab.
  • Knowledge of network and security best practices, including firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Nagios, or ELK stack.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps best practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and automation.
  • Experience with private cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies (e.g., OpenStack, Rancher, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Golang, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Experience implementing and managing security protocols and policies to ensure the safety and security of payment systems and customer data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Employment Structure

  • Onsite in Gulshan, Dhaka | Full-time
  • Salary: BDT 125,000 - 200,000
