About the Role

Our client is currently undergoing a digital transformation and they are seeking someone with experience in managing such changes, knowledge of the latest technological solutions, ability to work with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and geographical locations and lead a high-performing team. This is a leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational alignment of the company's Information technology with the goals and objectives. He/She will lead the implementation of significant IT projects, Enterprise Resource Platforms and undertake a key role in the next phase of their global social development programs' digital transformation. The Head of IT will work closely with the senior leadership team to keep up with the charitable aims in the service of the social development organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the IT strategic roadmap for social development programs, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and special projects implementation.
  • Drive annual operating plan aligning with the activities, methods and deliverables for social development programs, ERP and Special Projects.
  • Develop, manage and review IT Policies, procedures and standards for BI Head and country offices. Implement business continuity plan for all IT across our operational countries.
  • Total ownership of IT projects budget. Ensure IT costs are budgeted and agreed to achieve long-term growth and facilitate and resolve business stream IT issues.
  • Single point of contact for social development programs digitization initiatives.
  • Collaborative engagement with all departments, services and the international teams to define their information and technology requirements and lead them to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Oversee all phases of projects from conception to completion. Ensure timely and cost-effective implementation of all IT-enabled projects.
  • Manage and control the IT compliance, efficient support service mechanism, issue tracking and change management of all IT projects.
  • Drive training plan and review learning materials. Conduct and follow up end-user capacity building and refreshment programs.
  • Responsible for the total ICT infrastructure. Continuously review and recommend for the improvement capacity of ICT Systems in support of ongoing operations and future requirements.
  • Lead consolidated reporting implementation project and ensure data accuracy in financial reporting systems.
  • Capacity building of the organization's IT team members on career development, backup support building, succession plan and periodic competency review.
  • Build partnerships with key national/international technology vendors to establish onshore and offshore delivery of services.
  • Review proposals, drive IT vendor selection, finalize agreements, control point of contact on vendor performance and SLAs for services delivered to outsource vendors and business partners.
  • Proactive support to internal and external audit teams for the resolution of IT issues or observations.


Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ Years experience in Large Scale ERP System/Business Analysis, Technical Documentation, Application rollout & Implementation, Application support, Database management, Cloud Computing, IT Service Management, Vendor Management & End User Training experience in Large Organization.
  • MSc in Computer Science/Information Systems is highly preferred.
  • Vendor Certification in IT and Project Management (PMP/ Prince2 Agile certification is preferred).
  • Technology and Business Domain:
    • Accounting, Fund Management, Budget Processing, HR, Payroll, Fixed assets, procurement, Inventory, Proposal Tracking process. System and Database administration, Data Migration, Integration of different software applications and process, Consolidated Reporting, Monitoring Tools, Program Management and ERP Structure Design and Management.
    • Breadth (not depth) in specific application/industry knowledge of Microfinance, Health, Education, Ultra Poor Graduation, Early Child Development, Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents, Agriculture and Food Security, Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Project & Vendor Relationship Management:
    • Extensive knowledge and experience in project management methodologies and frameworks (PMI/Agile). Technical Documentation, Agile Methodology/Jira/ Trello, MS project, BRS and Mockup.
    • Managing relationships with key stakeholders internally as well as interfacing with third-party contractors, vendors and consultants. Ensure module integration aligns with the business scope and system expectation
  • Communication & Leadership Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, including internal and external stakeholders and to build strong working relationships. Good written and oral communication skills, highly proficient in spoken and written English.
    • Provide strong leadership in a complex and matrix projectile environment to promote project management best practices to ensure successful project delivery.

    • Demonstrable ability to deliver to targets, KPIs, meet deadlines, prioritize, and work under pressure, when necessary, with minimal resources.

Employment Structure

  • Onsite in Mohakhali, Dhaka | Full-time
  • Salary: BDT 240,000 - 450,000

  • Work Week: Sunday - Thursday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
