Through their lending business, they provide embedded supply chain financing to Mudi dokans and distributors in partnership with leading banks. The lending portfolio is scaling fast, and every credit, collections, and growth decision they make runs on data. This role owns that data.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Junior Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel and is familiar with modern JavaScript technologies such as Node.js, React, and Next.js. You will be responsible for developing scalable backend systems, building and integrating APIs, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Build and maintain server-side applications using Node.js when required.
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers working with React and Next.js.
- Design efficient database structures and write optimized SQL queries.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues efficiently.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and QA Engineers to deliver new features.
- Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1 year of professional experience in backend development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong proficiency in PHP and the Laravel Framework.
- Good understanding of Node.js, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
- Experience working with React and Next.js.
- Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and web security best practices.
- Basic knowledge of Linux servers and deployment processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Experience with Docker and containerized development.
- Experience with Redis, queues, and caching strategies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of automated testing and testing frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
