CNC Machinist
About the job CNC Machinist
Responsibilities:
- Operate and program both CNC and manual lathes and mills to produce precise products.
- Prioritize, manage, and oversee tasks within the machine shop to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure all produced products meet exacting specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain and service machinery, ensure the workspace is organized, and keep accurate documentation.
- Engage in research and development projects and contribute to training and mentoring colleagues.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and shop procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a machine shop or tooling environment.
- High School Diploma or GED; CNC Programming or relevant technical training is preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and related documentation.
- Strong skills in dimensional calculations and fundamental machining concepts.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, shop mathematics, and punch press operation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comfortable with standing, walking, and performing various manual tasks for extended periods.
- Experience in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.
- Knowledgeable about industrial safety protocols and procedures.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
