CNC Machinist

About the role

We are seeking experienced and highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in producing precision components for industries such as aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, and energy. Ideal candidates will excel in CNC mill setup, troubleshooting, and operation, with additional skills in MasterCam programming considered a significant advantage. This is a role where your expertise determines your compensation, and we reward genuine skill, not resume embellishments.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision parts.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan machining tasks.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and adjust machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify adherence to specifications.
• Maintain equipment and workspaces in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mill Machinist with expertise in CNC machine setup and operation.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical documents.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Solid understanding of machining principles, including feeds, speeds, and tooling.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in MasterCam programming for CNC milling operations.
• Familiarity with multi-axis CNC milling machines, including 5-axis systems.
• Knowledge of machining various materials such as metals and composites.
• Understanding of AS9100D and ISO9001:2015 quality standards.
• Commitment to supporting American manufacturing and working with domestically sourced materials.
