About the Role
This position plays a vital role in developing and optimizing manufacturing operations for high-precision metal components. The role focuses on process design, tooling development, and continuous improvement to enhance quality, efficiency, and manufacturability across production lines involving forming, fabricating, machining, and related operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop manufacturing operations for forming, fabricating, machining, and processing parts based on technical drawings and engineering specifications
  • Plan and sequence production processes to meet design and quality standards
  • Design tools, models, and fixtures to support efficient and accurate part manufacturing
  • Forecast time and resource requirements for development projects and document engineering support materials
  • Analyze current manufacturing methods to identify and implement process improvements
  • Ensure timely updates to part drawings, process documentation, and related engineering materials
  • Improve process efficiency, quality, and cost structure through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to support process optimization projects
  • Identify opportunities for automation and assist in implementing automation solutions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for 2D and 3D modeling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated practical problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven experience with Root Cause Analysis
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as stamping, cold forming, material flow, and tooling
  • Familiarity with the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with statistical analysis tools and methodologies
  • Background in deep impact extrusion processes
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machining operations
  • Exposure to automation systems and PLC controls
  • Experience working with copper or similar non-ferrous metals
