Accounting Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This role, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, leading cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in a timely manner
• Monitor, compile, and analyze detailed cash flow reports, including historical data and future projections, to maintain optimal liquidity and advise on cash management strategies
• Oversee the preparation and filing of income taxes for multiple entities, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations, and provide strategic advice on tax implications of business decisions
• Review and analyze financial data to produce accurate reports essential for strategic planning and decision-making
• Ensure adherence to proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, maintaining compliance with legal standards and company policies
• Monitor systems and procedures, implementing corrective actions as necessary to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting department
• Assign projects, direct staff, and provide guidance to the accounting team to ensure compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement
• Maintain relationships with financial institutions, oversee banking activities, and ensure compliance with banking requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting management, ideally within the real estate industry
• Proven ability to manage and complete projects within established deadlines
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in deliverables
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
