About the Role
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing customer accounts, generating sales through virtual outreach, and ensuring efficient order processing. While primarily an office-based role, occasional in-person meetings or on-site visits may be required to support customer relationships and business development within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts through regular communication and responsive service
- Conduct outbound sales efforts via phone, email, and virtual meetings to generate quotes and close orders
- Enter sales orders accurately and ensure timely updates on product availability and lead times
- Support pricing of custom or specialty products in collaboration with management
- Document all sales activities and maintain detailed records of customer interactions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and lead generation
- Handle returns, credits, and order modifications to resolve customer issues promptly
- Occasionally participate in in-person meetings, client site visits, or trade shows as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of two years of sales experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher
- Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in distributor, technical, or construction-related sales
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes or industrial products
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation
- Experience using ERP systems for order and customer management
