Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the maintenance team to foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize equipment uptime and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and conduct regular audits to mitigate risks.
• Oversee the maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems, ensuring efficiency and adherence to industry standards.
• Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and control costs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and reduce costs.
• Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Engage with the workforce to foster open communication and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management, particularly in a food manufacturing or similar industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, including equipment troubleshooting and repair.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to food safety and manufacturing standards.
• Strong communication skills in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and project management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive organizational culture change.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in dairy manufacturing or a similar food production environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
• Experience with World-Class Manufacturing principles.
• Strong time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
• Experience in preparing and managing budgets for maintenance operations.
