Manufacturing Sales Associate
About the job Manufacturing Sales Associate
Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell products to customers in targeted markets, including nuclear power plant shielding, medical facility shielding, pharmaceuticals, and specialty lead parts.
- Understand clients' technical requirements, propose solutions, secure sales, and drive new business growth.
- Read and interpret blueprints to communicate technical specifications to customers.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to achieve sales goals.
- Source materials at competitive prices using commodity purchasing experience.
- Provide excellent customer service to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Offer customized solutions through knowledge of digital printing.
- Oversee product design and development using project management skills.
- Develop expertise in company products and services.
- Gain a working knowledge of the markets served.
- Work with the product engineering and production teams on costing, processes, management, and completion of customer projects.
- Provide detailed, timely, and effective proposals and quotes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in blueprint reading and product design.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Project management skills.
- Proven experience in technical sales or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Solid organizational and work management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the nuclear industry or related fields.
- Knowledge of digital printing processes.
- Advanced proficiency in project management software.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Familiarity with commodity purchasing strategies.
