About the Role:
The 2nd Shift Robotic Welder is responsible for operating and maintaining robotic welding systems to produce high-quality metal components in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on automated welding processes, equipment setup, and quality control while supporting production goals during second shift operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate robotic welding equipment to perform MIG and automated welds on metal components
- Set up, program, and adjust robotic weld parameters to meet production specifications
- Inspect welded parts to ensure quality standards and tolerances are met
- Troubleshoot welding equipment and resolve minor mechanical or programming issues
- Load and unload materials and maintain consistent production flow
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with robotic welding, MIG welding, or automated manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
- Knowledge of welding processes, materials, and quality inspection methods
- Basic troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work second shift and meet production demands
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with robotic programming systems such as Fanuc or ABB
- Welding certification or technical training
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
