About the Role:
The Maintenance Mechanic, PLC Troubleshooting, is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and automated equipment. This position combines traditional mechanical maintenance with PLC troubleshooting responsibilities to support production uptime and equipment performance.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment failures.
- Diagnose PLC-related faults impacting machine operation.
- Perform maintenance on conveyors, motors, bearings, chains, belts, and gearboxes.
- Repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
- Assist with machine startups, equipment upgrades, and reliability improvements.
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Maintain maintenance records and communicate repair activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, or Maintenance Technician.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with mechanical systems.
- Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and maintenance tools.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
- Commitment to workplace safety and lockout tagout procedures.
Desired Qualifications:
- Industrial maintenance certification or vocational training.
- Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution environments.
- Knowledge of automation systems and controls.
- Familiarity with CMMS software.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience.
