About the Role
The Maintenance Manager position is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the electrical and mechanical maintenance operations at a heavy industrial manufacturing facility. This role ensures the reliability and efficiency of large rotating equipment, such as kilns and raw mills, and plays a key part in minimizing downtime and maintaining optimal plant performance. Ideal for candidates with a background in engineering and maintenance management within the cement or related industries.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage the plant maintenance department, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations

Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for heavy industrial machinery

Oversee the maintenance and repair of large rotating equipment, including kilns and raw mills

Manage maintenance scheduling, workforce planning, and equipment reliability initiatives

Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance best practices

Collaborate with other departments to support continuous improvement and production goals

Manage maintenance budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement of spare parts

Train and supervise maintenance staff and promote a culture of safety and accountability
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)

Minimum of 5 years of plant maintenance experience in electrical and mechanical systems

Experience with heavy industrial equipment, including rotating machinery such as kilns and raw mills

Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies

Proven leadership skills in managing maintenance teams

Working knowledge of maintenance management systems and tools

Understanding of workplace safety standards and compliance requirements
Desired Qualifications

Experience in cement plant operations or similar heavy process industry

Professional Engineering (PE) license or certifications in maintenance management

Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
