Exciting Centre Manager Role for a lovely small centre with a lot of heart! This is a pretty special opportunity.

Are you a passionate and experienced leader in Early Childhood Education (ECE) looking for a meaningful role in a not-for-profit setting? Join our close-knit community as the Centre Manager of our centre licensed for under 50, where youll have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of children, families, and staff.
This centre is well-established and prides itself on fostering a nurturing, supportive, and collaborative environment for children aged 0-6 years. The centre is licensed for under 50 children and has a strong community focus, working closely with families to provide the best possible start for our tamariki.

The Role:
As the Centre Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated teachers and support staff, ensuring the highest quality of care and education for our children. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, compliance with ECE regulations, staff development, and maintaining strong relationships with whanau and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the centre, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the teaching team, promoting professional growth and collaboration
  • Maintain strong communication and partnerships with families and the community
  • Manage the centres budget, resources, and enrolment processes
  • Ensure the centre provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children
  • Support and implement the centres philosophy, values, and vision

About You:

  • Fully Registered ECE Teacher with a Diploma or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within an early childhood setting
  • Sound knowledge of ECE regulations, professional standards, and Te Whāriki.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Passionate about fostering a positive, inclusive environment for both children and staff
  • Valid Work Rights in New Zealand
