Backend Engineer (AI)

About the Role

This is a full-time role for a Backend Engineer focused on the architecture and maintenance of high-performance systems. You will be responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable, and efficient backend services that support our "Proof of Reality" mission.

Daily responsibilities include writing clean, high-velocity code, collaborating with cross-functional research and engineering teams, and implementing software development best practices. You will also play a key role in optimizing existing codebases, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to significant infrastructure improvements.

Qualifications

• Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Backend Development, specifically focusing on database management and API design.
• Foundational Knowledge: Strong background in general Software Development and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Full-Stack Awareness: Familiarity with Frontend Development and the nuances of seamless backend integration.
• Language Proficiency: Proficient in high-level programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (relevant professional experience will also be considered).

• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience building and managing scalable, cloud-based applications.
• Domain Expertise: Knowledge of AI, Privacy, or Biometrics is highly appreciated and will be a significant asset to the team.
