About the job Purchasing & Logistics Manager
OUR CLIENT
Our client is a well-established international manufacturing organization operating in a high-volume, process-driven automotive environment. The Thailand operation plays a critical role in supplying global OEM customers and supporting regional production programs through disciplined planning, execution control, and service reliability.
The business operates under strict delivery, quality, and compliance standards, where supply chain execution is a core operational function rather than a back-office activity. English is used regularly due to close coordination with expatriate leaders, OEM customers, and regional stakeholders.
YOUR ROLE
The Purchasing & Logistics Manager is responsible for securing production materials and logistics services at the right cost, quality, and timing to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. This is a commercially grounded, execution-oriented role. The Purchasing & Logistics Manager owns supplier performance, cost discipline, inbound logistics coordination, and material flow reliability, acting as the primary control point between suppliers, logistics partners, and internal manufacturing operations.
The role operates close to the factory and requires regular on-site presence. Supply disruptions, delivery constraints, and cost-pressure trade-offs are part of the day-to-day reality. The Purchasing & Logistics Manager is expected to make practical decisions under pressure, manage supplier behavior proactively, and stabilize supply rather than rely on theoretical sourcing models or extended negotiation cycles.
Success in this role comes from supplier discipline, cost transparency, and consistent execution. This is not a planning, warehouse, or transformation role, and it is not suited to candidates seeking remote work or purely strategic responsibilities.
