YOUR ROLE
As the Human Resources Manager, you will lead and coordinate the schools HR function, ensuring compliance with Thai labor laws, school policies, and international best practices. You will play a pivotal role in attracting, onboarding, and retaining talented staff while creating a positive, professional, and supportive workplace culture. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will manage the full HR spectrum, from recruitment and employee relations to compliance, benefits administration, and staff attendance, working closely with the Leadership Team to support the schools mission and strategic goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Staffing
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting and candidate screening to interviews, reference checks, and onboarding.
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection measures, including police background checks and credential verification.
- Support overseas hiring processes and relocation arrangements.
- Maintain and update job descriptions; coordinate employee offboarding and exit procedures.
Performance Management & Employee Relations
- Coordinate annual performance reviews and staff appraisals.
- Oversee training programs to build skills and enhance staff performance.
- Address employee concerns and mediate workplace issues, protecting the schools best interests.
Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Thai labor laws and school policies.
- Maintain and update employee policies, staff handbooks, and HR documentation.
- Manage leave administration and official employment letters.
- Keep all documentation inspection ready for labor authorities.
Employee Benefits
- Administer health insurance, provident funds, and other benefits.
- Liaise with providers for policy renewals, claims, and staff registrations.
- Support new hires with health insurance, banking, and provident fund setup.
- Manage severance pay and provident fund settlements in line with labor law.
Administration
- Oversee visa and work permit processes with the government liaison team.
- Maintain accurate HR records and filing systems.
- Track staff attendance and leave in compliance with policies.
- Ensure confidentiality and data protection of all employee information.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
- Minimum 5 years HR experience, preferably in an international school environment.
- Strong knowledge of Thai labor laws and HR best practices.
- Fluency in Thai and English, with excellent communication skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and HRIS platforms.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and discreet, with excellent interpersonal skills.
