Our client is a well-established international manufacturing group operating in a high-precision, process-driven industrial environment. The Thailand operation plays a critical role in supporting global production and customer demand through disciplined planning, structured execution, and strong supply chain coordination.

The organization supplies engineered and industrial components to global customers and operates under strict quality, delivery, and documentation standards. The material planning function is a core operational pillar, ensuring production continuity, inventory stability, and delivery reliability.

English is used regularly in the business due to close coordination with expatriate leaders and regional stakeholders.

YOUR ROLE

The Material Planner is responsible for end-to-end material planning and execution to support uninterrupted production and on-time customer delivery.

This role is MRP-driven and operational in nature, with hands-on ownership of planning accuracy, inventory balance, purchase order execution, and supplier coordination. The Material Planner acts as the control point between demand, production, inventory, and supply, ensuring materials are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the required quality.

This is not a strategic sourcing or category buying role. Purchasing activities in this position exist solely to support material availability and planning outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Material planning and MRP execution

  • Execute MRP based on production plans and demand forecasts
  • Translate demand into accurate material plans and purchase orders
  • Replan and adjust material requirements in response to demand, supply, or production changes
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters and master data in ERP systems

Inventory control and optimization

  • Monitor and control inventory levels to balance availability and working capital
  • Prevent material shortages, excess stock, and obsolescence
  • Actively manage slow-moving and at-risk materials

Purchase order and order execution

  • Create, release, and manage purchase orders for assigned materials
  • Track order status and delivery dates
  • Communicate risks, changes, and priorities clearly to internal stakeholders

Lead time and supplier coordination

  • Monitor supplier lead times and delivery performance
  • Coordinate directly with suppliers to stabilize supply and reduce variability
  • Escalate delivery risks early to avoid production impact

Cross-functional and quality coordination

  • Work closely with Production Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality teams
  • Support resolution of supplier quality issues, replacements, and corrective actions
  • Ensure material plans reflect real production constraints and priorities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in material planning, MRP, or operational supply planning within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of MRP logic, inventory control, and planning consequences
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or ERP systems is mandatory
  • Strong Excel and data-handling capability
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and execution-focused working style
  • Native Thai speaker with working to strong English for daily coordination
