ROLE OVERVIEW

The NPI Project Manager leads new product introduction programs covering early development through manufacturing launch. The role requires structured program control, strong communication, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams across multiple regions. The focus is on aligning engineering, factory operations, supply chain, and quality to deliver new technologies on schedule and at scale. Programs typically involve complex technology, multi-site collaboration, and rapid execution expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Leadership

  • Lead two to three NPI programs simultaneously from development through launch.
  • Drive program schedules, dependencies, and readiness gates across global teams.
  • Coordinate alignment with design and engineering centers in Asia and North America.
  • Ensure consistent information flow across engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality.

Technology and Manufacturing Readiness

  • Support early-stage technical reviews, recipe development, equipment readiness, and process validation.
  • Monitor risks tied to new technology introduction and factory capacity.
  • Partner with engineering to address yield behavior, defect trends, and qualification milestones.

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide structured, concise communication for internal and external reviews.
  • Present program status, risks, and decision options with clarity and confidence.
  • Maintain a proactive communication rhythm through email, chat channels, and global calls.

Process and Reporting Discipline

  • Execute programs using a standardized global NPI framework.
  • Prepare structured reports, abstracts, and data-driven summaries for leadership.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy across risks, issues, changes, and readiness checkpoints.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, NPI, product transfer, process engineering, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of SMT, PCB assembly, COB, backend processes, or high-volume electronics production.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across multiple sites or regions.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex issues clearly.
  • Structured approach to problem-solving, risk management, and escalation.

Preferred

  • Experience in fast-paced, customer-facing program environments.
  • Familiarity with structured NPI or industrialization frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret yield trends, equipment maturity, process behavior, and manufacturing readiness metrics.
  • Comfort working across different time zones and using real-time communication tools.
