They are now looking for a Sales Manager, Maritime Connectivity Solutions to join their Bangkok-based team and take ownership of a commercially important maritime-focused business segment.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is not a narrow account servicing role.
It is a hands-on commercial leadership position for someone who can manage customer relationships, maintain business continuity, pursue new opportunities, and lead a small sales team while remaining active in the market.
The role suits someone who is comfortable operating in a technical B2B solution-selling environment and can engage customers directly, communicate value clearly, and keep commercial activity moving. It also offers the opportunity to help strengthen customer ownership and support a more effective go-to-market approach over time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Leadership & Customer Ownership
- Take ownership of an existing maritime-related connectivity business in Thailand
- Lead day-to-day customer-facing commercial activity across assigned accounts and opportunities
- Maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring continuity of current business
- Drive selective new business development in relevant maritime and offshore-related segments
- Engage directly with senior decision-makers and commercial stakeholders within customer organizations
Business Development & Market Coverage
- Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities through direct outreach, relationship-building, customer visits, and relevant market activities
- Stay close to market developments, customer needs, and competitor activity
- Support account growth by combining proactive hunting with practical commercial follow-through
- Build market presence in customer environments where direct engagement and credibility matter
Team Leadership & Execution
- Provide day-to-day direction and front-line support to a small sales team
- Help improve structure, accountability, and execution rhythm within the relevant commercial scope
- Balance personal sales ownership with player-coach leadership responsibilities
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to keep actions moving and ensure responsive support to customers
Solution Selling & Commercial Coordination
- Understand the practical use and commercial value of connectivity-related solutions in maritime and remote operating environments
- Translate customer needs into internally actionable requirements
- Work across both direct and partner-linked sales situations where relevant
- Contribute to a more effective and commercially controlled route-to-market approach over time
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience
- Around 10 years or more in sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing commercial roles
- Background from one or more relevant sectors such as maritime services, satellite communications, telecommunications, connectivity solutions, offshore services, industrial technology, or related B2B technical environments
- Experience managing customer relationships in a solution-selling environment
- Prior exposure to leading or supervising a small sales team
- Experience engaging customers directly and building commercial momentum through personal market presence
- Exposure to maritime, offshore, remote-site, or mobility-related customer environments will be viewed positively
SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
- Strong hunting instinct and ability to open doors and create opportunities
- Good commercial judgment with the ability to balance customer needs and business priorities
- Able to understand technical or solution-based offerings and explain them clearly in commercial terms
- Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Able to combine direct selling with team leadership
- Good working communication in both Thai and English
- Willingness to travel and spend time in front of customers as part of the role
