Our client is a well-established international manufacturer within the coatings and specialty materials sector. The company operates multiple production facilities worldwide and supplies coating technologies used across industrial, construction, and consumer applications. The Thailand operation serves as an important manufacturing hub supporting regional markets in Asia. The site operates within a structured manufacturing environment with strong emphasis on operational discipline, regulatory compliance, and consistent product quality.

As part of ongoing leadership development within the plant, the organization is now seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the sites quality function and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Your Role

The Quality Manager will lead the plants quality organization and ensure the integrity of all quality management systems, manufacturing quality processes, and customer complaint investigations. This role operates at the intersection of production, engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams, ensuring that product quality standards are consistently maintained while supporting operational efficiency. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing root cause investigations, strengthening process discipline on the production floor, and maintaining compliance with international quality standards within a multi-product manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the plant quality organization, including engineers, supervisors, and laboratory personnel
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems and regulatory compliance requirements
• Drive root cause investigations for manufacturing defects, non-conformities, and customer complaints
• Partner closely with production leadership to maintain strong process control and quality discipline across manufacturing lines
• Ensure effective monitoring of product quality, process capability, and corrective action implementation
• Support internal and external quality audits while maintaining certification requirements for applicable quality standards
• Strengthen cross-functional collaboration across operations, technical teams, and supply chain to improve overall plant performance
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, operational reliability, and manufacturing best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment
• Experience within coatings, chemical manufacturing, or similar process industries is highly preferred
• Proven leadership experience managing plant-level quality teams
• Strong experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and related manufacturing standards
• Demonstrated capability in leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions within production environments
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
• Professional working proficiency in English
