OUR CLIENT

Our client is a global industrial solutions organization operating in the mission-critical infrastructure space. The business delivers engineered thermal and energy solutions supporting data centers, industrial systems, and high-spec engineering environments worldwide. The organization is expanding its presence in the data center sector and works closely with hyperscalers, colocation operators, EPCs, system integrators, and consultants on complex, high-value projects.

YOUR ROLE

You are a quota-carrying (Senior) Sales Manager focused on the data center industry. You own the full sales cycle, from early market intelligence through to contract signature. This is a senior individual contributor role with high autonomy and clear revenue accountability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve individual sales targets within the data center segment
  • Identify and track data center projects across hyperscalers, colos, EPCs, DIs, and consultants
  • Collect and validate market and project intelligence from multiple channels
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international EPCs and end users
  • Follow projects through all stages until formal inquiry.
  • Maintain accurate and disciplined CRM records
  • Fully understand each project structure, including decision makers and PO owners
  • Lead technical and commercial clarification meetings
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial offers
  • Negotiate terms and close contracts
  • Analyze lost projects and clearly explain root causes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in data center or mission-critical industries
  • Proven track record in project-based B2B sales
  • Strong technical and commercial discussion capability
  • Experience working with EPCs, consultants, and end users
  • Ability to develop new customers and grow pipeline independently
  • Structured, self-driven, and disciplined in execution
  • Strong communication skills and team mindset

WHAT THIS ROLE IS AND IS NOT

This role is 

  • Hands-on, revenue-driven sales
  • Complex, technical, project-based selling
  • Pipeline quality and deal closure

This role is not

  • Passive account servicing
  • Distributor-only management role
  • People management

STRONGLY PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Direct sales exposure to data center thermal systems such as dry coolers, adiabatic coolers, heat exchangers, or related cooling solutions
  • Hands-on involvement in hyperscale or large colocation data center projects
  • Experience managing projects at USD multi-million scale
  • Direct interaction with hyperscalers, global colocation operators, or Tier III or Tier IV developments
  • Experience working with international EPCs and global engineering consultants
  • Track record of closing long-cycle, specification-driven projects
  • Familiarity with tendering processes and technical bid evaluations 
  • Experience in regional or cross-border sales environments
