Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager Product Processes and Implementation to join our Group Internal Sharia Control team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all Islamic banking products and processes are developed, implemented, and maintained in full compliance with Sharia principles, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. This role involves working closely with various departments, including product, operations, legal, and compliance teams, as well as liaising with the Sharia Supervisory Board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and implementation of Sharia-compliant products and services in collaboration with business units.
- Review and refine product structures, process flows, legal documentation, and operational procedures from a Sharia compliance perspective.
- Ensure timely development, updating, and implementation of product manuals, SOPs, and Sharia guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal departments and Sharia scholars to resolve any Sharia-related product or process issues.
- Support the Sharia audit and control function by conducting product reviews and ensuring adherence to approved fatwas and standards.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of product approvals, SSB resolutions, and regulatory filings.
- Monitor and track implementation of Sharia Supervisory Board decisions across business units.
- Contribute to training and awareness programs to ensure proper understanding of Sharia-compliant practices among staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Islamic Finance, Business Administration, Sharia Law, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Certification in Islamic Banking or Sharia Compliance (e.g., CSAA, CIFE, AAOIFI) is an advantage.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Islamic product development or Sharia compliance within the banking sector.
- Sound understanding of Islamic finance principles and AAOIFI Sharia standards.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and project coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
