Job Description

Core Duties & Responsibilities

Establish Quality Assurance Function

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy and framework for the Facility Management Department
  • Define quality standards, procedures, and metrics to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
  • Create and maintain QA documentation, including policies, procedures, and manuals

Core Team Building and Management

  • Recruit, hire, and train the initial QA team, ensuring the selection of qualified and experienced professionals
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members

Core Quality Control and Compliance

  • Oversee the implementation of QA processes and procedures across all facility management operations, including hard services (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and soft services (e.g., housekeeping, landscaping)
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with these departments/teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Establish an annual time frame for quality assurance audits to systematically review and assess compliance with established standards and procedures

Core Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and analyze QA metrics and performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of both hard and soft facility management services
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in QA practices and technologies

Core Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare and present regular reports on QA activities, findings, and improvements to senior management
  • Communicate quality standards and expectations to all stakeholders, including contractors and vendors
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all QA-related matters within the Facility Management function

Core Synergy with Compliance and Internal Audit

  • This function ensures that all operations and transactions comply with regulatory standards and internal policies
  • It enables real-time monitoring and comprehensive reporting, facilitating the prompt identification and mitigation of risks.
  • Furthermore, it supports detailed audit trails and thorough documentation, enhancing the ability of internal audits to verify compliance and operational integrity through collaborative efforts

Operating Environment

  • Office & Operational based job which might require travel with UAE
  • Needs to have a drivers license

Formal Education

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
  • A masters degree is preferred

Work Experience

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role

Skills & Knowledge

  • Proven experience in establishing and managing QA functions, preferably in the facility management or related industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, regulations, and best practices in both hard and soft facility management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001)
