Job Purpose

The Executive - Event Permit & Licensing will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of securing permits and licenses related to events and entertainment through government authorities such as DTCM, DED, and Dubai Police. This includes handling ePermits, e-ticketing, entertainment licensing, and coordinating all necessary documentation to ensure full compliance with UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the processing of all event-related permits and entertainment licenses, including private event notifications.
  • Apply for relevant permits in the DTCM and Dubai Police systems.
  • Maintain strong coordination with Venue Planners and Exhibition Managers to ensure compliance with DTCM and Dubai Police protocols.
  • Monitor and remain updated on amendments to regulations, systems, and permit processes.
  • Prepare and submit weekly status reports; update internal trackers for ePermit applications and private event notifications.
  • Liaise with DET (Department of Economy and Tourism) to obtain ePermits, e-ticketing approvals, and other event-related permissions.
  • Monitor permit/license renewals and ensure timely applications.
  • Develop and maintain internal guidelines and processes for DET-related transactions.
  • Conduct annual internal training sessions related to event permitting processes.
  • Coordinate with the Finance department for permit payments, including raising memos and maintaining payment trackers.
  • Attend external meetings when necessary.

Work Conditions

  • Primarily office-based, requiring extended hours working on a computer.
  • Occasionally requires attending meetings outside the office.
  • Standard working schedule: Five (5) days per week.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: High School Diploma or Bachelors Degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, with preference for UAE/GCC experience, either in an agency or in-house.
  • Languages:
    • Fluent in Arabic and English (speaking, reading, and writing is essential).
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.
    • High level of versatility and adaptability.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Trained or familiar with EBMS and DTCM Portals.
