Talents Tide is looking for a Senior Executive Financial Reporting for its client in Dubai – Government Entity
Job Purpose
To lead, plan, and coordinate all management accounting and financial reporting functions for the business unit, while overseeing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and cost optimization. The role also carries out accounting and reporting activities in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
General Management

Ensure Management Accounting & Reporting objectives are achieved in line with annual business plans, policies, and procedures.

Execute accounting and reporting activities as directed by the reporting manager.

Manage departmental budgets, revenue, expenses, and capital expenditure processes.
Financial Management & Control
-
Monitor and manage business unit budgets, including additions, transfers, and reductions.

Consolidate budgets (revenue & expenses) and coordinate with central finance for amendments and finalization.

Handle revenue accounting for leasing (in line with IFRS 16) and licensing activities.

Perform GL reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules at period-end.

Analyze GL accounts to ensure accurate recording of transactions and rectify discrepancies.

Coordinate period-end adjustments and accrual entries to comply with accounting principles.

Execute monthly and year-end closing cycles.

Ensure reporting structures comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Prepare and present monthly vacancy/occupancy performance reports.

Review cost allocations and allocation methodologies.

Develop and implement financial policies and guidelines to ensure compliance and best practices.
Data Collection, Analysis & Reporting

Collect and consolidate financial data from business units.

Conduct feasibility studies and financial assessments for proposed and ongoing projects.

Analyze budget variances and recommend cost optimization measures.

Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports for senior management.

Perform end-to-end revenue and expense analysis and reconciliation.

Manage internal and external audit processes related to financial reporting.

Provide financial analysis and feasibility studies for pricing changes, new services, and incentives.
Requirements
-
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Strong knowledge of IFRS (including IFRS 16) and financial reporting standards.

Proven experience in budgeting, financial consolidation, GL reconciliation, and financial analysis.

Experience in managing audits and coordinating with central finance functions.

Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
