Role Overview
As the PMV Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of Plant, Machinery, and Vehicles across multiple construction sites. You will ensure maximum utilization, cost efficiency, compliance, and reliability of all equipment assets.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
PMV & Asset Management
- Oversee the planning, allocation, and utilization of all plant, machinery, and vehicles across projects
- Ensure equipment availability as per project requirements and timelines
- Maintain accurate records of PMV inventory, movement, deployment, and idle assets
- Control PMV-related costs including rentals, fuel, maintenance, and repairs
- Monitor asset lifecycle, depreciation, replacement planning, and disposal
Operations & Project Support
- Coordinate with project teams to understand operational and PMV needs
- Support project mobilization and demobilization activities
- Ensure minimal downtime of equipment through proactive planning
- Resolve operational bottlenecks impacting site productivity
- Support emergency breakdowns and urgent site requirements
Maintenance & Workshop Management
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
- Ensure workshops function efficiently with proper manpower, tools, and spares
- Monitor maintenance quality, turnaround time, and cost effectiveness
- Coordinate with OEMs, service providers, and vendors
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment comply with statutory, safety, and legal requirements
- Monitor registrations, permits, insurance, third-party certifications, and renewals
- Enforce safety standards for equipment operation and site usage
- Support audits and inspections related to PMV and operations
Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage rental vendors, transporters, fuel suppliers, and maintenance contractors
- Negotiate rates, control costs, and monitor vendor performance
- Ensure timely billing, documentation, and coordination with finance
Team Management
- Lead and manage PMV supervisors, coordinators, drivers, operators, and mechanics
- Assign responsibilities and monitor performance
- Provide guidance, training, and discipline where required
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare and review PMV utilization reports, cost analysis, and downtime reports
- Track KPIs related to efficiency, cost savings, and asset performance
- Provide regular updates to management on operational status and risks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field (preferred)
- 10–15 years of experience in PMV / Operations management
- Emirates experience preferred
- Experience managing large fleets and multiple project sites
