Company Background:
Our client is a reputable large-scale industrial solar solutions provider based in Shah Alam, Selangor with nationwide operations. They are looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to be a strategic partner to the CEO and the Board, responsible for the long-
term financial health and sustainable growth of the company.
This role focuses on high-level capital structuring, investor relations, and guiding the company through its expansion phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive ROI assessments for solar farm developments, ensuring all investment models (PPA, Leasing) meet the company's profitability benchmarks before securing financing
- Drive long-term forecasting (3–5 years) and lead the annual budgeting process at a group level
- Act as the primary face of the company to the financial community, including investment bankers, venture capitalists, and private equity firms.
- Lead debt and equity financing rounds to fund expansion
- Manage "Data Rooms" for potential investors and negotiate terms for funding and credit facilities
- Assess the financial risk of large-scale liabilities and long-term contracts (20-year PPAs)
- Ensure the companys corporate structure is optimized for tax efficiency and future potential IPO readiness
- Provide the CEO with high-level advice on mergers, acquisitions (M&A), or new market entries
- Drive the digital transformation of the finance department (e.g., implementing advanced ERP systems)
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/ICAEW) and MIA membership is mandatory. An MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 10+ years in finance, with at least 5 years in a C-suite or Senior Director role
- Proven experience in Capital Raising, IPOs, or Project Financing in the Energy or Infrastructure sector.
