Company Background
We are representing our client a deep-water ports providing integrated port, logistics and cargo handling services that support regional and international trade.
Work Location: Kuantan
Working Hours: 5 days (Mon-Fri)
Positions:
- Senior Executive, Marketing (Dry Bulk Division)
- Assistant Manager, Marketing (Container Division)
Responsibilities:
Account Management & Customer Relations
- Lead representative for key customers and acting as the primary point of contact, addressing inquiries, resolving issues and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, shipping companies and trade associations to enhance the port's reputation and expand business opportunities.
Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement
- Assist in develop and implement integrated marketing strategies to achieve targeted throughput volumes and revenue growth.
- Act as the primary act of contact for new potential clients and managing inquiries, coordinating visits and facilitating discussions to explore business opportunities.
- Assist in promotional initiatives through exhibitions, conferences, advertising campaigns and trade missions to enhance visibility and attract new business.
Operational & Support Functions
- Organize and coordinate port visits for clients and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all safety and security protocols.
- Provide administrative and operational support for marketing activities and assist with other assignments as directed by the Head of Department or senior management.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Admistration, Logistics, Mass Communication or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience (Senior Executive) and 3 years of Managerial experience (Assistant Manager) in marketing and key account management within the port, logistics or shipping industry.
- Experience in port operations and logistics with strong knowledge of dry bulk activities, supply chain, and trade or shipping practices is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationship with customers and internal & external stakeholders.
- Well organized and able to handle multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Proficient in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is required to support effective communication and collaboration with key stakeholders and China counterparts.
